Homemade Vertical Steam Engine Homemade Horizontal Steam Engine
Here's a steam engine that was started in 2006. it is from the design from Edgar T Westbury Warrior mk II, 3/4" bore and a 3/4" stroke, powering upto a 6 foot boat, all made from scrap steel materials that i have knocking around the workshop, from a model engine supplier this engine would cost around £200 for the castings alone. Here's a steam engine and boiler that i made in 2006. it will have a working model workshop complete with working metalworking lathe and milling machine, drill ect all at 1:32 scale I have a requirement for a 4 inch precision rotary table for dividing and cutting round diameters ect on the milling machine, i set about to make this one,
shows a cast steel blank, two of these are required both the same size. shows the blank after been put into the lathe and both blanks trued to the correct size. note the raised track on one blank and a grove on the other, these locate to give the table ultra precision turning. Rotary table all assembled with the degree graticules and numbers stanped in.
