The national final is held every year and is the pinnacle of the best sailing and model makers in the UK, on the day the MPBA and the model press were in attendance and thought that this years final was one of the very best held in the North of England in many a year!

The Beginning We were asked by organisers of the Hull show 1999, if we would like to attend the boating pond to display our model boats, we came up with idea of a duck race?? And any proceeds collected would be donated to a local charity. We built some wired and wonderful quackers for the day’s event and every one enjoyed it, and since then the group has grown to what it is today, the Group have raised over £4800 for supported charities.
The Hull Model Boat Group has raised over £4800 for our supported charities:
Cancer Research UK (national), Special Care Baby Unit Hull ward, Dove House Hospice Hull.
