Pete's SEAVIEW Submarine!. Pete's "Submarine Upholder"
Here's a bow on shot of seaview, the model is 86" long and is based on the 18 foot tv minature, the television version has 4 windows, the film version has 8, the model is currently being repainted and more detail is being added, the boat has twin 12v geared motors and has 45mm 4 bladed props, I do have other subs and if anyone
has a problem I'll try and help email subman@hullmodelboatgroup.co.uk This model is based on the original hms upholder built in 1939, this boat operated from lazaretto malta until her loss in 1942, the is shown in mediterreanean blue, the colour scheme for that period of the war, the model is 70" and dives using a water pump. I do have other subs and if anyone has problem I'll try and help subman@hullmodelboatgroup.co.uk The boat took about two years to build ,the boat is a type 7b the conning tower has been altered, the Robbie 47 is a 7a . The Robbie boat is a dynamic diving boat which requires a fair amount of power to dive which also cuts down sailing time, the internals of my boat have been completely changed using a conversion by Clive wadsworth which works very well using an engel piston tank and switch and two Electronise low drain motors and electronic speed controller with bec system. The conversion is best done on the build but talk to Dave at Pandan models he is very helpful and as for my boat she is now the U 101 1940s vintage , I do have other subs and if anyone has problem I'll try and help subman@hullmodelboatgroup.co.uk UB1 is small coastal ww1 submarine,to dive the boat uses a piston drive tank, and uses four channel radio, the model is around 42" long and is a semi kit. I do have other subs and if anyone has problem I'll try and help email subman@hullmodelboatgroup.co.uk The Vickers 2400 was the last diesel electric boat to be built in this country, this was the upholder class boat named after the ww2 boat, these submarines were sold to the canadian navy and renamed the victoria class. I do have other subs and if anyone has problem I'll try and help
